Hi,
I have got a system running Redhat 7.0 and using xfs filesystem for all
its partitions (namely /dev/hda1 /dev/hda3 /dev/hda4)
I have got the xfs 1.0.1 and redhat 7.1 iso's on /dev/hda4.
/dev/hda4 is mounted as /local so the iso's are
/local/RH7.1-SGI-XFS-1.0.1.iso
/local/seawolf-i386-disc1.iso
/local/seawolf-i386-disc2.iso
Now i am trying to upgrade this machine using the iso's stored in its hard
disk.
I made a boot floppy using boot.img image and told the installation
process to look for iso's in /dev/hda4
i tried with directory = / or leaving it empty
but it always gives an error saying that "Device /dev/hda4 does not appear
to contain Redhat CDROM images"
but the images are there on /dev/hda4
(please note that /dev/hda4 has got xfs filesystem)
Please suggest what can i do to upgrade machine using iso's stored on its
hard disk in a partition using xfs filesystem.
(please also note that boot.img was taken from xfs 1.0.1)
Thanx,
vivek
