nope... that could pose a bit of a problem though, there is alot of stuff
which depends on it apon boot. i've done a diff from 2.4.9 (as i don't think
the bug was around then) and i've seen very little change in the devfs
structure... i'll try it as a last resort. :)

urmmm, i can easily set the box up for remote access, BUT the problem only
occurs on reboot and at that time it doesn't even hit INIT... let me know
what u need and u got it  :)


ok, i'm just thinking.... maybe i can send u an ISO of the install cd for the
distro, its about 320Mb though & i'm only on a 64kbps line. (very last resort)


i'm out of town for a day (leaving in about 8 or 9 hrs)
