Hi,
I have spend a lovely evening trying to compile XFS 1.0.1 on a SuSE 7.1
system. I downloaded and installed the compat-egcs- and compat-glibc21
rpms from readhat, and kgcc seems to compile my hello.c just fine. Then
I downloaded a vanilla 2.4.5 kernel and applied the patches. Well, first
thing I found was that numerous files were missing. The patches inserted
#include's for e.g. include/linux/xfs-something.h but failed to create
those files.
Next thing I tried was to get the source rpm directly from your site,
the one with the patches already applied. I installed it and tried to
compile a kernel, but the compile failed with zillions of errors in
floppy.c.
So I can't help thinking that I am doing something very stupid here. But
what?
Greetings
