Running XFS-1.0.1, kernel-2.4.9
dual PIII, Mylex DAC960 with a large partition (100MB) mounted as /var

When booting up the system, while mounting /var, i saw this:

Start mounting filesystem: dac960(48,3)
Ending clean XFS mount for filesystem: dac960(48,3)
VFS: Mounted root (xfs filesystem) readonly.
Freeing unused kernel memory: 208k freed
Adding Swap: 1050616k swap-space (priority -1)
Start mounting filesystem: dac960(48,4)
Starting XFS recovery on filesystem: dac960(48,4) (dev: 48/4)
Ending XFS recovery on filesystem: dac960(48,4) (dev: 48/4)
xfs_force_shutdown(dac960(48,4),0x8) called from line 4072 of file xfs_bmap.c.
Return address = 0xc01b8b9c
Corruption of in-memory data detected. Shutting down filesystem: dac960(48,4)
Please umount the filesystem, and rectify the problem(s)
