I have lockups with JFS too. Not using xfsrestore but other programms.
Process hangs in D state (kflushd, sync too). With the Linux Test Project
(http://ltp.sourceforge.net/) i get JFS lockups with 100% guarantee. I doubt
xfsrestore is wrong here.
