Nathan's right, it's a limitation on the length of allowed labels in
XFS...  I put the labeling code into the XFS installer to make it behave
more like the ext2 install, but didn't anticipate this.  Whoops.  I'll
put out an update floppy to fix this (by turning labels back off, I
suppose).

What happens when you remove the /usr/local/net partition - does /boot
still complain?
