kgcc-1.1.2-40 gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2
release) from redhat distribution,
originally it is a SuSE 7.1 installation.

I just installed the latest CVS version on this machine (still waiting
for errors :)

On this particular filesystem are about 1.400.000 files and about 25.000
of them are created and removed within 24 hours.
