You don't have to wait. You can use one of the prereleases. Take a
look in ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/download/testing/ at PR3. There
is a 2.4.5 kernel based on Linus' tree. That kernel is pretty close to
what the 1.0.1 release is going to be.
