howdy, everything is peachy with 7.1 (with xfs) install, but how can I disable the devfs from mounting, even temporarily??? I'm loading XFS support solely to mount several Jaz cartridges that were formated with XFS, and I would like to make changes to /dev in order to get "subsequent" mounts to work (XFS). I tried: append="devfs=nomount" in lilo.conf but "devfs" is mounting elsewhere. is there a "workaround" or a "fix" for "non-hackers" like myself to disable devfs?? I know it is a good daemon, but I would like to disable it. thanx, dru |
