I have a 100 GB RAID5 XFS volume (hardware RAID) on a Red Hat 7.1 SGI version (Release-1.0) machine. The volume usage is approx 70%. Because i'm lazy, i tried to determine directory sizes on that volume using Midnight Commander (mc) instead of du. And guess what: mc was totally frozen. I had to kill the process. Is this related to the du problems? Upgrade to 2.4.3 will solve it? -- Florin Andrei |
