I'm testing XFS on an alpha with RedHat Linux 7.0. I normaly backup this
alpha with dump for ext2 fs. So I want to use xfsdump. It may work on
x86 but on the alpha there are many problems with sizes like
sizeof(time_t) != 4, so xfsdump stops its operation. The bug was on
1.0.5 an than on 1.0.9. What have I to do to use xfsdump.
I want to use XFS for my file server, but without a chance to backup I
won't.

Tar? ;)

Seriously, can you give the error output and if possible a strace output of the failing xfsdump including command line parameters and the backup device if used?.

Every program has two purposes one for which
it was written and another for which it wasn't
I use the last kind.
