Hi!I know it's a bit offtopic, but I can't find the answer for the following question: I'm using redhat 7.1 with xfs and devfs enabled, and unable to make raw devices, because raw can't find /dev/rawctl. If I make rawctl with mknod /dev/rawctl c 161 0 and raw /dev/raw1 /dev/cdrom, it won't work. Perhaps, there's another naming scheme under devfs or something has to be compiled into the kernel? I'm using the latest cvs from oss.sgi.com, and gcc 3.0 if that matters. I'd like to make my dvd drive to be a raw device, because of smoother dvd playing. Thx in advance for any help. Paco |
