You need to decode the oops using ksymoops in order for it to be something
we can interpret. ksymoops needs to be able to see kernel symbols to
function, you will probably need to pass it at least the -m option to
point at the System.map file for the kernel.

Also, the 2.4.2 kernel is quite old now and a lot of things have been
fixed since then, you might benefit from using one of the patches
in the patches directory on the ftp site to get you to 2.4.5, the
test rpms for 1.0.1, or the cvs tree which is at 2.4.6-pre3
