After having installed the package kernel-2.4.5-0.2.9_SGI_XFS_20010613.src.rpm I noted that the option REISERFS_CHECK as for the package RedHat rawhide is activate, inducing a degradation of the performances for the reiserfs filesystem. Blow, one is obliged of compile the kernel with REISERFS_CHECK disabled. Would it be possible to disable this option for your next package kernel ? That would not have any particular impact and would facilitate the life of those which want for example to carry out benchmark. Thank you in advance -David |
