I see. Well. I was going to use Amanda, but I don't want to run inetd or xinetd. I do run IP tables, but the less software(especially the port or socket kind) the better. So, backing up other computers across ssh or something is pretty easy too, but I really just want this ONE system to backup itself. So was curious if xfsdump can handle multiple filesystems to one tape. amanda works fine in single system mode (that is how i use it). i.e. the server is a server and client. |
