My guess is that you can't - a lot of effort went into making sure there
was no cross-licensing in the XFS code, removing any encumbrance that
may have been there due to code that SGI did not own the copyright on.

I believe that the code was made available shortly after the licensing
review, so the earliest files in CVS probably 
represents the oldest code available under the GPL.  The original Irix
code is not available, due to licensing issues.

I wasn't with the project at the start, Russell can probably chime in
for you - he may know if there's a tag for the first CVS versions.
