What is the current status of xfs over md, specifically raid5? I read in a previous message that xfs is slower than ext2 using raid1 and raid5, is this still the case? XFS over MD devices should work. The only thing that is open to tuning is the syncing throttle when the raid is degenerated state. It should work. Performance numbers are not known. If anyone has some data about relative speeds I would like to see it. Bye -- Seth Every program has two purposes one for which it was written and another for which it wasn't I use the last kind. |
