Vernon and Seth,
Works great.
This is what I use to run cvs through (sgi's) firewall using ssh.
setenv CVSROOT ':pserver:cvs@xxxxxxxxxxx:/cvs'
setenv CVS_RSH ssh
setenv SOCKS_SERVER sgigate.sgi.com (only works for sgi people - and socks
aware ssh)
Then I just preface all my cvs commands with 'runsocks' (from socks5
package) such as:
runsocks cvs update
Don't know if you use socks or not, but oss does work with ssh.
Hope this helps.
Chuck
