If you want to stay up to date with the latest kernels+XFS, a CVS
checkout is the way to go, with all the usual warnings about running CVS
code. CVS is currently at 2.4.4.

Yep, that's to be expected, the first patch is independent filesystem
code, but the second has to mesh with the kernel, which is a moving
target.

I'm working on it now; bear in mind that 2.4.5 is less than a day old,
and we'd like to do some testing before we release it to the world.

Sure, linux-xfs@xxxxxxxxxxx is the all-purpose user/devel list, and
linux-xfs-announce@xxxxxxxxxxx is for announcements only.
