The config files are in /usr/src/linux-2.4.2/configs (if you installed
the kernel-source RPM).  Download the new kernel source, and type (I
think) 'make oldconfig', and tell it which config file to use.
Alternatively, type 'make xconfig', click "Load config file", and point it
at your config file of choice.  Done.
