Same here, from the SGI cdrom install

[tru@mangouste bin]$ mount | grep mangouste
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part7 on /mangouste type xfs
(rw,noexec)
[tru@mangouste bin]$ pwd
/mangouste/tru/rh71/bin
[tru@mangouste bin]$ cp /bin/ls .
[tru@mangouste bin]$ ./ls
./ls: Permission denied.
