I've an RedHat Linux Alpha Workstation and tried to have a XFS on a LVM
Volume. So I've patched the original linux 2.4.2 kernel with following
patches like in spec file from the src.rpm from SGI:
linux-2.4.2-loop-04112001.patch
linux-2.4.2-core-xfs-04132001.patch
linux-2.4.2-xfs-04132001.patch
linux-2.4.2-kdb-04112001.patch
linux-2.4.2-changeloop.patch
Than I compiled a kernel with kgcc. First I tried this on a Intel
Architecture, and it works fine. Than I wanted to do this on my Alpha.
The first Difference was, that the blocksize there is 8192 not 4096 like
on Intel. I wondered but than I found that it is architecture depended
because of page size. No Problem, but when I mount the Volume the the
Alpha is going in a status of half hanging.
Is there a known bug, or have done some mistakes?
