Thanks for the quick response!  The disks sort of worked.  They booted ok,
but i forgot to mention im using a Promise ATA100 card.  The onboard IDE
on my motherboard is shot.  Do you know of a FAQ or HOWTO for creating
boot images like the one on your site? I'd like to see about creating one
to support my hardware needs. Thanks again.

PS, a freind of mine boots of an xfs partition...says it works fine.
