We do have debian packages of user space, but as for an installer, no,
I do not actually know what debian uses to be honest (sorry about that).
On a more general note:
SGI's goal is to get XFS into Linus's kernel, and hence the distributions,
or, into the distribution and hence Linus's kernel. Interest has been
expressed from at least a couple of major distributions (no I am not
naming names). We cannot support lots of different installers ourselves,
and keeping up with even the one is a lot of work. Picking Redhat's
installer was not meant as a slight to the other distributions, but
as a way of allowing people who wanted to do complete XFS based installs
to get a system up without having to have multiple disks and copy
filesystems around.
Having said that, obviously, if anyone wants to work on other installers we
have no problem with you doing that and will provide whatever help we can.
