CVS update problems

Hello Folks,

I'm having problems updating.  I get this error:

usw-pr-cvs.sourceforge.net: Connection refused
cvs [update aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if
any)

Here was my sequence of commands:

cvs -z3 checkout linux-2.4-xfs  (no problem)
cvs -z3 update -d (halted with above error)
