G'day there,
I thought this might be useful to someone, this is my experiences with
XFS on an Alpha.
I've got an Alpha PC164SX, two IBM IDE drives. I'm running them in
mirror (RAID 1).
The kernel is 2.4.2 with the patches:
linux-2.4.2-core-xfs-03212001.patch.gz
linux-2.4.2-xfs-03212001.patch.gz
The other wierd thing is only one drive is in the raid array as I'm
building it: build array, mkfs transfer, then do the same for the first
one.
Boots up fine. Get to the shell prompt and mlraid /dev/md2, no problem
Then try mkfs -t ext2 /dev/md2
I get this :<
I have NO idea what it means, but I suspect its a bad message.
mkfs -t ext2 and then mounting works fine.
