I'd like to thank everyone who wrote in about my problem with mkinitrd, so that I could make the root fs an xfs volume. Thanks for explaining why it wouldn't work (2.4.2 loopback bug) and what I could do to work around it. I used Kelly Eicher's boot floppy set ( www.astro.umn.edu/~carde ) which are fantasticly easy to use, and got it all done in about 30 minutes. Cheers, nic -- www.nic.uklinux.net |
