This patch has worked for me when using dma on ide, and when using the
multwrite path. If you turn on kiobufs with the kio mount option, you
have to use dma, the multwrite path will panic your system. We are 
working on the complete fix.

i.e. if you setup a system using

        hdparm -d0 -m16 /dev/hdX

you cannot currently use the kio mount option.
