I would like to know the status of XFS for linux. The reason why I ask is that I
want to build up a server that runs in a place that I can't access physically.
The server will be a Dual Pentium II using mixed SCSI and IDE disks ( around 6-7
disks, 50 GB ) using software raid 0 and 5.
The reason I ask is, that there have been several mails regarding the raid
topic. The other reason is that I didn't have enough time yet to test the
stability of XFS.
So would you ( the developers and testers of XFS ) think that I can run a server
( without watchdog ) that I don't have physical access to using raid.
BTW: The server is going to be an ftp-server. So if you need a mirror site for
XFS I would be happy to do that.
