How did it get unset?  I noticed, too, that my "/" wasn't selected for
formatting by default, either.

In any case, looks like you have found a bug - if XFS is selected, but
format isn't, it still assumes that the fstab should be set up for
XFS...

Probably the best way around this would be to inactivate the "Use XFS"
checkbox if the "format" box is unchecked.

Right now there is no code in the installer to check for existing xfs
filesystems (that's partly why upgrade is disabled), so if you don't
format a particular partition, it doesn't know what FS is on it.

Wonder if any of THIS is worth fixing prior to "real" release...? I
could probably get it going tomorrow...
