Hello,
Just posting this email to reply to the people
that
say it's not possible to install xfs on
/.
I actually did without the use of any etx2
partition
ie /boot and / they all reside within the same
xfs
partition.
The partition is fairly small, 4 gigs, and is the
third partition
on my hd /deb/hda3.
The install cd is test2, i have been experiencing
other
problems during the install related to the version
of some
rpm packages which made the install pretty
tricky...
ie switched back to the console with ctrl+alt+F2,
copied
the package, umounted the cd, made the dir structure under
source recopied the package onto that(with the name
the install
was expecting to find) pressed ok to the error prompt, back
to console removed the package and extra dirs under
source dir,
remounted the cdrom, and so on.
That had to be done for at least 3 packages if i am
not wrong.
sincerly,
Giuseppe Zompatori
