Yes. I tried to make /boot ext2 and not xfs. When I later tried both as
XFS it worked,
the system is now installed and running!.

I did't have the Redhat CDs at work, but images are on our network, so
had a stab at bootneting it.
'pure' XFS it appears to be fine. I have a running system. However I
have a 'new' problem. The permissions on /dev are wacked. Like some one
has done a chown root:root *; chmod 0 * on /dev. I can only login as
root, as user something fails due lack of /dev access. When I try to fix
the permissions with MAKEDEV, it only partially does the job. Group
changes don't
stick at all.
I am NOT using devfs. I might try recompiling with devfs :-)
BTW, the machine is a Dell Inspriron C600. fbcon and xfree with the
rage driver don't
get along....
