FYI, IA64 has different page sizes in different regions of the kernel. The kernel code is a single page of 256M. The vmalloc region has a compile time selectable page size, default is 16K. The getpagesize syscall returns the compile time selected page size. You can have a file system created by a kernel with one page size being read by a kernel with a different page size. |
