Dear friends:
    Thanks very much to read this.

    I can't use xfs on my computer, why? details followed:

1. I installed a RedHat 6.2, no problem occur;
2. got ProPack1.4.iso(282M) from  ftp://patches.sgi.com/pub/linux/ProPack1.4/ISO/, no problem occur;
3. mount ./ProPack1.4.iso ?t iso9660 ?o loop /mnt/cdrom, no problem
4. cd /mnt/cdrom; ./INSTALL;
5. choose four package “RedHat Specific”, “Multiprocessor”, “Kernel Development”, “XFS Commands” to install, no problem occur;
6. run command # mkfs.xfs /dev/hda6, got error:
mkfs.xfs: warning - cannot set blocksize on block device /dev/hda6: Input/output error
meta-data="" isize=256    agcount=8, agsize=223152 blks
data     =                       bsize=4096   blocks=1785215, imaxpct=25
         =                       sunit=0      swidth=0 blks, unwritten=0
naming   =version 2              bsize=4096
log      =internal log           bsize=4096   blocks=1200
realtime =none                   extsz=65536  blocks=0, rtextents=0
7. run command # mount /dev/hda6 ?t xfs /mnt, got error:
mount: fs type xfs not supported by kernel

8. Check /etc/lilo.conf, /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.16-4SGI_39smp is already started.
9. Check /lib/modules/2.2.16-4SGI_39smp/fs, I found no xfs.
???? what happened ????

But I must use very large files on my Linux, xfs maybe the best choice. What shall I do?
Please help me! I am so anxious.

Thanks.
