Is there any idea when 2.4 will officially be released, and how long
thereafter an XFS kernel?
The XFS i downloaded was vey simple to install on my redhat, just load the
rpms and go!!! Much easier than any other large file system out there...
will SGI provide an easy install for the final release as well???
I've got a large client base of hospitals using our Linux help desk and
patient record software, and currently out work around for large file
systems is multiple database files... once XFS is officially released, we
will make the 2.4 XFS kernel the standard implementation for all of our
sites....
We're running your latest beta (non on-the-fly changes) and the thing has
been rock solid!!!
