I'll add this to the list.  From a look at the source, this will
be a no-brainer to de-SIM - I'll do that this afternoon, + setup
a Linux Makefile, etc - the hard work here will be porting from
the IRIX arena model to pthreads & testing it thoroughly.

I think xfs{dump,restore} has a similar set of issues ... perhaps
Tim and/or Ivan could have a look at this after they're done with
porting those tools.
