Technically yes, but you really need to know what you are doing.
I will spin new patches, they will but up shortly.

I recommend grabbing the patch with the cvs info in it.
It can be used to patch a base 2.4.0-test5 to a XFS + cvs tree.
You can then keep your tree up to date by simply
doing a 'cvs update' occasionally, the number of files
transferred will be minimal.
