Thanks very much, I will apply these - it will probably be next week some time, I am already in the middle of way too many things! Steve p.s. for the out of memory problem I want to look into a more sophisticated approach than givng up on the mount. It will probably involve doing the I/O in this case in chunks rather than in one go, the 128K byte size is already a reduction from the irix case. This reduction in turn means that we cannot have as many in core log buffers as we can on irix - this will only matter on larger systems. |
