For what it's worth, I gave XFS-over-raid5 a shot a few days ago, and
got a system hang (although still respondent to Magic-SysRq) a few
seconds after mounting the partition.  I've been running the same
kernel with ext2 on that partition with no problems since then.  I
haven't gotten around to testing XFS on my scratch non-RAID partition
yet, so I can't be sure that the breakage is specific to RAID rather
than some other peculiar local issue.
