Err I'm not sure where you are getting your information but
XFS is fully GPL'ed, released, and getting closer to stable every day.

I would really like to understand what you feel SGI has failed to do in
terms of opening up XFS to the public.

The bell has rung, there is nothing SGI can do to unrelease the source code.

And more over SGI spent a great deal of money on lawyers and technical people
to do a full encumbrance review the XFS source code to ensure no AT&T (or
anybody
else) copyrights were violated.

Obviously there has been some mis communication, I think I would be in our
best interest to start clearing up some misconceptions that seem to have
propagated amounts the OpenSource community.

Include is the XFS copyright.
