Pushing at this point is overstating the current state of things.
Our primary concern is to finish the initial implementation and
stablize it. 
Acceptance is understandably a ways beyond that, and who knows
what will be "official" at that point. To use and old
saying "well cross that bridge when we get to it"

Developemnt has been done primarily on RH 6.1 6.2 the default version
that comes with RH just happened to supoort the pragma flag.
