We exchanged email about this last week--linux/fs.h contains the
prototype for is_read_only(), used in xlog_recover in the read-only
case.

I wasn't aware that the non-pagebuf case was still being maintained,
after Jim said that everyone should be using pagebuf.  Sorry about
that.
