Hi, sorry for not getting back to you on this sooner, I tried out the
pacth, and I think there is a problem with the code which determines
the cpu id, it fails to recognize a P3 Katmai, the bootup code reports

CPU0: Intel Pentium III (Katmai) stepping 03
CPU1: Intel Pentium III (Katmai) stepping 03

But the cpuid code in kdb ends up giving me type 3 (unknown). Maybe
it would be better to directly reference the cpuinfo_x86 setup at
boot time.
