Summary: Analyze and defrag blocks based on usage
Product: XFS
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P5
Component: xfsprogs
AssignedTo: xfs-masters@xxxxxxxxxxx

Classification: Unclassified
One thing I've never seen but think would be extremely useful is a defrag that
not only defrag a file but put files commonly access together.
ie: if you open firefox all the time move all the libraries and programs so it
can do a sequential read to open it.
My thinking would be two programs. One that you could run for a day or to to
analyze usage. Then a program to defrag based on that analysis.
