Summary: XFS bug crashes kernel when try_to_free_buffers
           Product: XFS
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P5
         Component: XFS kernel code
        AssignedTo: xfs-masters@xxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: czhang1974@xxxxxxxxx
   Estimated Hours: 0.0
    Classification: Unclassified

My server started crashing frequently (once every couple of days or even worse
at times) after I upgraded my Debian system from Lenny (2.6.26 kernel) to
testing (2.6.32 kernel). A closer look seems to suggest that it is caused by a
bug in the xfs kernel code.

The file system is on LVM. It contains mostly tv recordings in HD, so the files
are fairly large (4 or 5 GB to 25GB). The timing of the crashes mostly coincide
with TV viewing (on a separate machine via mythtv).

I have downgraded my system back to 2.6.26 for now due to this bug, but I will
help as much as I can to identify the issue.

The trace log is attached.
