back in 2.6.9 days 4k stacks still were a major concern, especially when using
lvm.  But the error case would be crashes and not silent corruption.  The only
time I have ever seen such a case was when NFS exporting under a load when the
inode cache had bad bugs.

Now it's been quite a while since this bug was filled (sorry), and I suspect you
have moved on from that setup, but if you still have a filesystem with such
symptoms around a metadump would be interesting.
