If you'd like to see it fixed, then yes, you'll probably need to provide more
info & testing; it's doubtful that the sgi guys have this particular type of
hardware.
I agree with Dave; if it is unique to XFS, it's more likely that XFS is exposing
problems in the layers under it. XFS broken on 1 chipset and not the many
others seems to point in this direction.
Any further info you can provide, such as: any relevant kernel messages, or
xfs_repair output of a corrupt filesystem, or sysrq w output when the system is
hung, or descriptions of corruption of problematic files (via hexdump, or cmp,
or whatever works) would be a starting point.
