Sample drive info: /dev/sdd1   280G  261G   19G  94% /drv

At the upper point of transfers, which looks like around the last 10% of drive
capacity, we get stall messages on ftp or long hangs in transfers, sometimes
resulting in disconnects.  This only seems to involve very full drives as above.
