xfs-masters
excuse me for disturbing you.
now we are analyzing the codes for xfs. we think in Linux, the VNODE
layer can
be removed with no bad effects. so we did this, but the speed of copying is not
quicker
as we expected.
How we did is as follows:
we throw off the structure of vnode, move parts of its fields such as
v_type,v_number into the xfs's
inode in-core because we don't know their usage. At the same time, we throw off
all VOP operations or interfaces.
we think this can bring the speed improve, but no.
what your opinion about our ideas and the result?
we are waiting for your answer!!!
your sincerely
