That is correct.  2.6 has never booted completely.

It is indeed.  A single PIII 1.0GHz.

It is attached to this message.  It is, however, from Linux 2.4.25-rc1.

I also built an initrd "partition" last night to attempt to mount the root
device into the ramdisk.  It hung as well.  I don't know if that means anything
or not, but thought I'd let you know.
